𝐈'𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐨?

As a Christian, this is one thing I have struggled with for a while. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy some contemporary worship, but after you've listened to the same chorus and chord progression twenty times, it can become exhaustive and bland.

What I find important to consider is this, what is your heart posture when listening to said song? What do the lyrics glorify? Is it an innocent love song or is it a provocative song that objectifies said woman or man?

The verse Proverbs 18:21 states this "There is life and death in the power of the tongue." Whatever you are speaking over yourself, and your surroundings matters. Us as Christians need to know the power we hold not only in the spiritual, but also in the physical.

Now, do I believe every secular song is demonic/satanic, no of course not, but it’s important to know what you’re listening to and the message behind it. Surrendering what is not ours to Christ is key to building our relationship up with Christ. With all being said, pray and go off your convictions. If you are being convicted, it's for a reason.
